The
Junior Sailing Club is a group of kids that have taken one or
more sailing programs with the Friends of the NC Maritime Museum
and love to sail. There are no dues and there are no
meetings…..
The Junior
Sailing Club invites all past and present students of the
Friends of the Museum’s Junior Sailing Program to participate
in recreational sailing on Wednesday evenings at 1730 hrs
switching to
Sunday afternoons when school is in session.
Students enrolled in the Program for the first time should wait
until their second Wednesday.
This is a
great opportunity to practice skills and have some fun. Parents
are expected to be in attendance as spectators and/or to help
out. Boats will be available on a first-come first served basis.
The Club
also helps sponsor a few local regattas and the boats used in
the Junior Sailing Program are available for Club members who
wish to participate.
